2. Quotations
Quotations are based on the information available at the time of assessment or enquiry and remain valid for the period stated on the quotation.
Prices may change if the scope of work, measurements, materials, site conditions or customer requirements change after the quotation has been issued.
Any additional work not included in the original quotation may be quoted and charged separately.
3. Orders & Acceptance
An order is considered confirmed once the customer accepts our quotation and any required deposit or payment has been received.
By accepting a quotation, the customer confirms that the products, specifications, measurements, finishes and services listed in the quotation meet their requirements.
Custom-made or specially ordered products may not be cancelled once manufacturing or procurement has commenced, subject to applicable South African consumer law.
4. Payments
Payment terms will be specified on the applicable quotation or invoice.
Where a deposit is required, work, manufacturing or ordering of materials may only commence once the deposit has been received.
The outstanding balance must be paid according to the agreed payment terms.
Roller Shutters Doors reserves the right to suspend work or withhold delivery where payments are overdue, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.
5. Installation
Customers must provide reasonable access to the property and installation area on the agreed date.
The installation area should be accessible and free from obstacles that may prevent our technicians from carrying out the work safely.
Additional work resulting from undisclosed site conditions, structural problems, incorrect information or changes requested by the customer may result in additional charges.
Installation dates and completion times are estimates and may be affected by product availability, manufacturing times, weather, site conditions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
6. Repairs
Our technicians will assess the roller shutter door or garage door and determine the appropriate repair based on its condition at the time of inspection.
Where additional faults become apparent during the repair, the customer will be informed where reasonably possible before additional chargeable work is undertaken.
A repair does not guarantee that unrelated components of an older or damaged door will not fail in the future.
7. Emergency Repairs
Emergency repair services may be subject to availability, location and call-out charges.
Where a permanent repair cannot reasonably be completed during the initial visit, our technicians may recommend temporary measures to help secure the property until the necessary components or further work can be arranged.
8. Maintenance
Regular servicing and preventative maintenance are recommended to keep roller shutter doors, garage doors, motors and automation systems operating safely and reliably.
Customers are responsible for following any maintenance recommendations provided with the product or following a service.
Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorised modifications or failure to perform reasonable maintenance may affect applicable warranties.
9. Products & Availability
Product images, descriptions and specifications on our website are provided for general information.
Actual products may differ slightly in appearance due to manufacturing changes, materials, finishes, screen displays or product availability.
We reserve the right to replace unavailable components with suitable alternatives where agreed with the customer.
10. Warranties
Applicable warranties will depend on the product, component and service supplied and may include manufacturer warranties.
Warranty details applicable to a particular installation or product should be confirmed in the relevant quotation, invoice or warranty documentation.
Warranty claims may require inspection before repair or replacement is approved.
Warranties generally do not cover damage resulting from accidents, impact, attempted break-ins, misuse, normal wear and tear, environmental damage, electrical supply problems, unauthorised repairs or modifications, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict rights available to consumers under South African law.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate information regarding the property, required work and existing door systems.
The customer must disclose any known conditions that could affect the work, including structural problems, electrical faults, access restrictions or previous modifications.
Customers should not operate equipment that appears damaged or unsafe and should contact a qualified technician where a fault occurs.
12. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation rights depend on the nature of the product or service, whether work has commenced, whether products have been specially manufactured or ordered, and any rights available under applicable South African law.
Where legally permitted, reasonable costs already incurred for materials, manufacturing, call-outs or work completed may be deducted from any refund.
Any applicable cancellation terms will also be stated on the quotation or order documentation.
